Founded in 1999 by Harvey Livingston as the River City Student Athletes and later rebranded as the NorCal Pharaohs, this AAU basketball organization was one of Sacramento’s pioneering programs of its kind.  Today, Jason Barton, one of the first coaches for the the River City Student Athletes, continues to lead and manage the NorCal Pharaohs. The organization remains steadfast in its mission to help high school basketball players achieve their dreams of earning college scholarships.

With a proven system of expert coaching, advanced training, and competitive scheduling, we focus on developing complete players—enhancing basketball IQ, sharpening fundamentals, and preparing athletes for the demands of the collegiate game.

NCAA Recruitment Events and Exposure: A Gateway to College Basketball Opportunities

One of the most crucial aspects of the recruiting process for high school athletes is participation in NCAA recruitment events. These events provide athletes with the chance to showcase their skills in front of college coaches from Division I, II, and III programs across the country. At NorCal Pharaohs, we understand the importance of these events and work tirelessly to prepare our athletes for maximum exposure.

In addition to on-court preparation, we also guide athletes through the recruitment process itself. From building a strong recruiting profile to understanding NCAA rules and regulations, NorCal Pharaohs ensures that each athlete is fully equipped to make a lasting impression. Whether you’re aiming for a scholarship at a top-tier Division I program, or pursuing opportunities at a Division II or III school, our team is committed to your success at every level of competition.
